Vance's Claim That He LOADED His Guns After Trump Shooting DOESN'T MAKE SENSE
JD Vance claims he loaded his guns after watching the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
- 6 minutes
Have fun. We'll see.
After Butler, PA. And then, of course,
I go back to home to Ohio.
Oh, boy. He gets shot.
You know, the initial reaction is,
I actually thought they had killed him.
Because when you first see the video,
he grabs his ear and then he goes down and
I'm like, oh my God, they just killed him.
And I was.
[00:00:16]
So I mean, first I was so pissed.
But then I go into like fight
or flight mode with my kids.
I'm like, you know, all right, kids,
you know, we were at a we were
at a mini golf place in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I grabbed my kids up,
throw them in the car,
go home and load all my guns and basically
stand like a sentry at our front door.
[00:00:35]
That was my that was sort
of my reaction to it anyway.
So obviously, look, any violent attempt
on the life of a prominent person
in American politics is super scary.
And so it's an area where I'm going
to be much less critical
of what a person like J.D.
[00:00:50]
Vance does.
That said, I believe almost nothing
about his accounting of that that he
states away with standing as a sentry.
I don't believe any of that.
I don't really care.
I don't think that's a reason
to not support him or whatever.
But the idea that he was that anger
was his first reaction.
[00:01:07]
The most opportunistic man in America
was pissed when he heard that.
Maybe. Maybe, I don't know.
Other people had negative reactions
to the way he characterized that as well.
Nick Field says a great example
of why Vance was a terrible VP pick.
Instead of making up a story
about how seeing Trump get up
[00:01:23]
and pump his pump his fist inspired him,
Vance created a story that centers himself
as the protagonist in his dystopian movie,
and Ghostface says,
of all the things that didn't happen,
this didn't happen the most.
And again, it's not that important.
And maybe I'm wrong
to automatically assume
[00:01:42]
that he's lying about what happened.
But this is what happens
when you're a person like JD Vance,
where you lie about everything, where you
you turn on every position that you held
just a few years ago you don't like.
There's no reason to assume that they'd
be honest about even something like this.
[00:02:00]
I don't know.
Do you disagree? Am I going too far?
No, no, I actually think that's one
of the most representative clips.
It's because, look,
maybe some people on the right,
you know, are in the wrong frame of mind,
to say the least, and think, oh well, you
know, I'm concerned about trans issues.
[00:02:17]
And I saw a Matt Walsh movie.
I'm weirded out.
Blah blah blah blah blah.
And so whatever Vance says about that,
I'm going to shut off my mind
and agree with him.
Right?
But on this one,
they know he's full of crap.
So why?
Because we all watch the video, right?
So I remember when I first watched
the video, you probably remember
[00:02:32]
when you first watched the video.
You see that he grabs his head like this,
and at no point did I think he's dead
because he grabbed it.
He was fine
and then he actively went down.
But that's not the unbelievable part.
Okay, maybe you saw it
in a different angle.
[00:02:48]
You saw it quick.
I know you and especially
because you're that's, you know,
your boss, your friend, whoever, right.
That the guy you're running with
and you're deeply concerned.
I believe that completely. Okay.
Then he says I thought he had died.
He was down for about under the podium
for what, seven seconds? 11 seconds.
[00:03:07]
And then he came back up.
You didn't watch.
You just turned it off at four seconds?
No, the whole video was about 45 seconds.
So you went home and locked and loaded
and thought that he was dead.
Now come on, guys,
this isn't even close, right?
So he's like, oh, I thought he had died.
[00:03:23]
And so I was oh, man,
I was angry and I went home.
No, you watch the 45 second video
like we all did.
And you knew he didn't die.
Like, I'm a guy who gave Trump a lot
of credit that day for, you know, getting
back up and putting his fist up and,
and, you know, got led to a U-s-a chant.
[00:03:39]
And I'm hokey that way.
And you could criticize me for it
and all that stuff.
But at no point did anybody watching
that clip think, nope, that's it.
I'm not watching the rest of this clip.
I've seen enough.
At four seconds, I'm going to go home
and lock and lock and load my guns.
Liar.
[00:03:54]
Giant liar.
And why do you have to do that?
You have giant Secret Service protection.
In fact, in another part of the interview,
you talked about like, oh, the one thing
that's different about my life is we're
watching Netflix and the Secret Service
is constantly circling the house.
So what was the Secret Service
not protecting you that day.
[00:04:10]
That's why you had to stand
in front of the door with your shotgun.
Like Clint Eastwood or Bronson.
Oh, yeah, man, I got this.
He didn't do any of that.
He's such a fraud.
It's so frustrating when people
can't see what a fraud he is.
Sharon.
[00:04:26]
Yeah, none of it's true yet again,
and great point about the Secret Service.
And I'm just going to say it,
I think that he was giddy.
I do, and perhaps it's going too far.
I think he was probably orgasmic
at the thought of moving up
to the top of the ticket.
And how can I engineer this
and manufacture this?
[00:04:43]
I actually think that's who the guy is,
and he uses his children
and anything else he can look at.
The picture he painted over playing
putt putt golf and and then all
of a sudden our world was rocked.
And it was just so difficult.
And I just thought, I'm so angry.
[00:05:00]
No, he wasn't angry.
He was orgasmic. I honestly believe that.
I all, all I can say is, again,
it's so hard to extend even like we, we,
we trip over ourselves
to give credit to these people because we
want our politics to be sane once again.
[00:05:16]
But with him, he's the guy
who's talking about Trump being Hitler.
And Trump has surrounded himself
with these guys.
JD Vance, Tucker Carlson, people who we
know despised him, and yet they see their
career as being contingent on pretending
to like them, pretending to be friends,
[00:05:33]
pretending to be worried about them.
It's just all so fake.
I hate it, and I think that's one
of the biggest issues for JD Vance.
He's been he's been quite successful,
you know, in, I guess, venture capital
where you don't need to be
an actual human to do well.
But politics is a world
of being authentic.
[00:05:51]
And I don't know if there are politicians
that are more immediately
snake like and greasy than JD Vance,
like he's on the Ted Cruz level.
Like you just see him
and you think this is not a person
I'd want to have a conversation with.
There is nothing authentic
or genuine about this person.
